Highlights/Looking Forward To’s…
Since bullet points are so fun, I thought I’d use them by sharing with you what stood out about my weekend alone as Mikey successfully toured the Enchantment Traverse on an epic solo trip:
- Working Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, because that meant lots of tips (busy weekend! Alright!) and another “highlight,”
- Receiving a condom in my tip jar (come on…are you serious?!).
- “Just popping by!” a friend’s house in order to have them tape the finale of American Gladiators for us Langs and ending up with dinner, dessert, and helping this friend color her hair after work!
- Going on two beautiful, almost hour long runs throughout the weekend…cold but sunny, and with the melting snow everywhere this was the first time I’ve been running since almost before our wedding!
- Picking up the phone after-hours as I was cleaning up at work and hearing Mikey’s voice on the other end! He made it out of the Enchantments alive and well, and I met him in town for dinner on Monday night.
- Being back in Mikey’s arms…the trailer, the mice, making meals, driving around… it’s just not the same without him.
And now, here are my top three things I’m looking forward to (in time chronological order) for the week ahead (we might as well use some number points now):
- Road trip down to Portland…our flight to Cancun leaves out of there early Friday morning…I love road trips with my husband.
- A night of fun with Erika and Cora on Thursday night (before that flight!).
- An epic journey that includes taking a flight, a bus, a taxi, and a boat to the resort where we’ll meet Mikey’s parents…in freakin’
